"When you’re selling your house, should you choose the Agent with the lowest commission? Is ANY agent worth the higher fees? This was the decision we faced recently and if you’re thinking of selling your
home, please take two minutes to read this testimonial. It really could mean thousands of dollars more in your pockets. We decided to get 3 agents to value our home, we chose the two with the lowest commissions and were stuck for the third.
We’ve had flyers in the mailbox from one agent for years but we couldn’t remember his name. We remembered his silly catchphrase “ANTHONY FOR ACTION” so we googled that and up came Anthony Carppe of Bayleys. So because of his persistence with the flyers, he became our 3rd agent. The first two agents warned of a post Covid price drop and a slow market and came up with very similar prices to list the house at. They were both nice people, professional and very likeable, but they left us feeling negative and depressed because our house wasn’t worth as much as we’d hoped. Then Anthony came with his valuation and it wasn’t just a little higher than the others, it was significantly higher.
We asked him about the Covid price drop and the slow market and he said ‘What price drop? What slow market? He gave us an estimate of what HE could sell our house for. If he delivered on that price, even after paying his higher fees, we’d have a lot more money in the bank than we would if we went with one of the cheaper agents. What impressed us as much as the possible large financial gains, was his positive, can do, will achieve attitude.
We just KNEW he’d sell it in the price range he’d quoted. 72 hours after the listing went live, he had an offer on the table at the top end of what he’d estimated. Everything he told us was spot on. If you’re wondering whether Anthony is worth the extra fees, the answer is, in our experience, YES, he is.
His absolute commitment to achieving the best result for us was plain to see and he delivered 110% on every part of the sales process. We’ve read many testimonials and a day later we can’t remember what agent or company they were for, so if you take nothing else away from our testimonial, just remember the catch phrase “ANTHONY FOR ACTION”, turns out it’s not silly at all.
